Ease of Movement is committed to supporting your physical wellbeing through Mat Pilates. Its mission is to offer an inclusive, welcoming space for the English-speaking community ensuring accessible, high-quality Pilates guidance and client-focused care. Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or a long-time practitioner, Ease of Movement strives to create a supportive environment where everyone can move, grow, and feel at home.
My name is Elaine O'Mahony. I discovered Pilates at 14 and was instantly hooked. My interest in movement and wellbeing led me to study Physiology at university, and I later earned a Master’s in Human Nutrition, deepening my understanding of how movement, health, and nutrition work together.
Alongside my studies and work in industry, I trained in Pilates through Balanced Body and STOTT Pilates, completing both Mat and Reformer courses and beginning to teach classes.
Over the years, Pilates has become my way to reconnect with my body—especially while balancing long hours at a desk. I love how breath, control, and flow can build strength, stability, and presence.
I’m passionate about helping people feel strong, confident, and at ease in their bodies. My goal is to create a supportive space where clients can move with intention, challenge themselves safely, and leave feeling their best.

Our Classes

Beginner Mat Pilates
Beginner Mat Pilates is perfect for those brand new to Pilates or returning after a break. Each class focuses on:
• Foundational Pilates principles
• Mobilising the spine, shoulders, and hips
• Developing early core strength and stability
The pace is steady and guided to help you learn and connect with each movement. We also strengthen the arms, legs, and glutes to support a balanced, full-body practice.
With consistency, you’ll begin to feel the benefits within just a few sessions -improved posture, greater strength, and enhanced overall wellbeing.

Beginner Plus Mat Pilates
Beginner Plus Mat Pilates is ideal if you’ve already built your Pilates fundamentals and are ready for more challenge at a safe, supportive pace.
In this class, we continue to:
• Strengthen the deep core muscles
• Improve posture and alignment
• Increase mobility and flexibility through the whole body
You’ll explore progressions of the Beginner exercises and build towards Improver/Intermediate level movements - developing control, stamina, and confidence with each session.
Expect more variety, deeper muscle activation, and a strong sense of achievement as you level up your Pilates practice.
Everyone is welcome - progress at your own pace!

Improver Mat Pilates
Improver This class is designed for those who have confidently mastered the fundamentals and are looking for a fuller challenge.
We’ll expand your skills by focusing on:
• Increased strength, control, and precision
• Enhanced mind–body awareness and movement quality
• Progressed versions of classical intermediate Mat exercises
• More variety, intensity, and repetition for a true full-body workout
Expect a dynamic pace and deeper engagement of the whole body - building stamina, mobility, and power through pure body-weight movement.
For those who want to feel stronger, move better, and keep progressing - one class at a time.
